Teaching a Beginner to Use a Hand Saw

I recently happend to observe an adult education class on home improvement.  Among other things, the class covered patching holes in drywall and some simple cutting using a handsaw.   As I was walking by I could tell that some of these folks had never held a saw before.  I'm not in any way being critical of them, but it was glaringly obvious that they were brand new to holding and handling tools.
I just found this post from a high school teacher who has a post about teaching kids to use a hand saw.  I think it fits right in and may be beneficial to some, if not all, of us.
